Checkpoint tests

Each unit has four sections. Pass a short test at the end of each one, and a longer test to finish the unit.

Already know the basics? Twelve questions on day one start you further down the path.

Daily streak

Do a lesson or the question of the day to keep it alive. A streak freeze from the shop covers a missed day.

A second chance

Run out of tries before you get four right and a short redemption round lets you finish instead of starting over.

Is Finlingo free?

Yes. All 120 lessons, competition prep, class and chapter tools and the leaderboard are free. There is no paid tier, and coins can only be earned, never bought.

Do students need an account?

Yes, a free one: a name, an email and a password. The account is what lets a student join a teacher's class with a code, and it's how their teacher sees their progress.

Do you sell or share student data?

No. We don't sell data or use it for advertising, and we never ask for payment details. Teachers only see students who joined their own class, and the database enforces that, not just the interface. The details are in our privacy policy.

Does it count toward my state's requirement?

Finlingo covers the topics most state standards are built around: budgeting, banking, credit, investing, taxes and insurance. Whether it formally satisfies your district's graduation requirement is a question for your school. Our state-by-state map shows where each requirement stands.

Who is it for?

Middle and high school students first, and DECA and FBLA members preparing for events. The lessons assume no prior finance knowledge, so parents learning alongside their kids do fine too.

Can teachers see how students are doing?

Yes. The teacher dashboard shows lessons completed, streaks and accuracy for the whole class, and lets you assign lessons and tests with due dates. You can look around the advisor dashboard before signing up.
